Terms of service
Draft, last updated October 2026. These terms describe how locli is offered; have them reviewed legally before you rely on them.
1. Provider and scope
locli (locli.dev) is provided by Mario Hahn, Gerhardusgasse 10/20, 1200 Wien, Austria (see the imprint). These terms apply to every use of locli: the web app, the API, the command-line tool @locli/cli and the agent integrations. Different terms of a customer apply only if we agree to them in writing.
2. Accounts and teams
You need an account, created with an email address or with Sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your password and API keys secret; actions with your credentials count as yours. A team (organization) belongs to its owners: they choose the plan, invite people and decide who can open which project. Coding agents and CI use API keys and do not take a seat.
3. Plans and limits
The Free plan is free of charge and limited to one project, three languages per project, 250 texts per project and one person. Paid plans (Pro, Team) raise these limits as shown on locli.dev at the time of booking. When a team reaches a limit, locli refuses to create more until the plan changes; existing content is never deleted because of a limit.
4. Prices, payment and invoices
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe; for purchases made through Stripe's checkout, Stripe may act as the seller (merchant of record) and its terms for the purchase apply in addition. Prices are net; the VAT that applies to you is added at checkout and shown on the invoice. Invoices are sent by email and are available as PDF in the billing portal ("Subscription & invoices" on the team page). If a payment fails, we may limit the team to the Free plan's limits until it succeeds.
5. Changing plans and cancelling
Owners can upgrade, downgrade or cancel in the billing portal at any time. An upgrade takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month; the team then continues on the Free plan. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of booking; if you ask us to start the service right away, you pay pro rata for the time until you withdraw.
6. Your content
The texts, translations, keys and files you store remain yours. You grant us the rights needed to store, process, export and show them to the people you give access, solely to provide locli. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload. For personal data inside your texts we act as your processor; a data processing agreement is available on request. See the privacy policy.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use locli for unlawful content, to attack or overload the service, to get around limits or access controls, or to resell access without agreement. We may suspend accounts that do so, after a warning where reasonable.
8. Availability and changes
We operate locli with care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability; maintenance is announced where possible. We develop the service further and may change features as long as its essential functions remain. We will tell owners about significant changes to these terms by email at least 30 days in advance; if you do not object, the new terms apply from then on.
9. Export and deletion
You can export your texts and releases at any time (web app, API, npx @locli/cli pull). When a team or account is deleted, its content is removed within 30 days, except where we must keep billing records by law.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract, and for businesses at most to the fees paid in the twelve months before the damage. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
11. Law and jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For businesses the place of jurisdiction is Vienna. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence and may sue at their place of residence.
